    Researching and Theorizing Organizing, Spaces, and Places in a Digitalized World

    Are you a management scholar engaging with space and place? Are you seeking new research ideas to explore space and place in the digital world?

    If so, please join us for our PDW at the AOM meeting in Philadelphia. 

    This PDW is divided into two parts.
     
    Part 1: Presentation from Panelists
    In the first part, four distinguished panelists will offer a brief presentation on (1) conceptual tools for studying space, including a distinction between space and place; (2) methods for studying space in a digitalized world; (3) future research directions and opportunities for theoretical and empirical advancements. During this session, you'll be inspired by expert panelists including:
    • Jen Rhymer (University College London, UK)
    • Stefan Haefliger (Bayes Business School, UK)
    • Jennifer Gibbs (UC Santa Barbara, U.S.)
    • Kathleen Stephenson (VU Amsterdam, NL). 

    Part 2: Roundtable Discussions
    In the second part, we invite you to engage in small-group roundtable discussions led by panelists and excellent facilitators:
    • Constituting Organizational Space and Place in a Digitalized World - Claudia Manca (Technical U. of Denmark); Michelle Pannone (Marywood U.)
    • Digitalized Space and Practices, Modalities, and Embodiment - Tania Raecker (U. of Zurich); Ella Hafermalz (VU Amsterdam)
